... and now for the latest update on the adventures of "Travis and Katie in Asia".
Assumtion College Thonburi is a massive, all boys Catholic school boasting no less than 5,000 students. Katie teaches English at Assumption to grades 1, 7, 8, and 9. The campus is on a densely green 34 acre parcel of land located about an hour from downtown Bangkok. The school is lavishly decked out with vegetable gardens, tennis courts, weight rooms, a full theatre and auditorium, two olympic sized swimming pools, and a winding boat canal that eaks slowly along the back side of the track and sports fields. At one corner of the campus is an aviary with many tropical birds, including two African Ostriches (which Katie has fondly named Harriet and Long John Silver).
After school, Katie walks her brand new black Quintus acoustic guitar over to the music teacher's office for lessons. It is during this time that Travis has grown fond of playing tennis or lifting weights with his homies on the teaching staff.
When asked if her students can sometimes be quite spoiled and rather naughty, Katie was reported to have squinted her eyes, flaired her nostrils widely, and heaved a low and burly growl. Apparantly that means everything is under control in the classroom of "Miss Katie, Teachuunh".
Stay tuned...
