OUR NEW HOME IN BANGKOK
We left you in suspense about our new digs, and now it's finally time to unleash the truth...
We've found a spacious and comfortable home near Katie's school, located about an hour west of downtown Bangkok. It's a gorgeous two-story, four-bedroom, two-bath home located in a gated community. The living room is large with tiled flooring and book shelves custom built by Travis. The upstairs is all hardwood. A giant mango tree grows in the front yard, dripping with fruits.
There's a cozy guest bedroom set up with it's own private bathroom for those of you who want to come visit. Is all this imagery enticing you yet? Good, because we are going to be here for a whole year; and we welcome all friends and family who want to venture out to Thailand to see us. We miss you and would love to show you around the place we call Home.

NEW YEARS IN CHIANG MAI
To polish off our last few days of vacation we took an overnight bus to Chiang Mai, the northern most province in Thailand (see link to map). It was there that we met up with some of our friends from Khon Kaen. Together, we high tailed it to the mountains for a camping adventure.
Our group included ten Thais and 5 foreigners, mostly all teachers. Highlights of the trip included a gorgeous morning train ride through the hills of the golden triangle, waterfall-side picnic lunches, successfully squeezing eleven people into the back of a pick up truck for a five hour drive, and shouting "Sawatdee Bee Mai!" (Happy New Years) with everyone at the fully packed campground on the stroke of midnight. We had a blast.
